The CRA released TPM-12R, Accelerated Competent Authority Procedure (ACAP), which is an update to TPM-12 previously released on December 12, 2008. This update follows the release in June 2021 of Information Circular 71-17R6, Competent Authority Assistance under Canada's Tax Conventions. The purpose of the update is to ensure consistency with paragraphs 21 and 22 of Information Circular 71-17R6, while clarifying existing eligibility criteria and procedural matters with respect to ACAP requests.
