Canada Climate Week Xchange (CCWX) is a new annual, week-long initiative to promote cross-collaboration on Canada's climate-related challenges. CCWX is a collaboration between numerous parties including the Toronto Stock Exchange, Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPAC) and the Responsible investment Association. This week, CCWX runs from November 24 to 30, 2025.
CPAC is hosting a webinar on November 25, 2025 from 11:00am to 12:30pm EST titled "Canada's Clean Economy: Tax Credits One Year In and the Road Ahead". Our objective is to educate viewers on the basics of the four credits that exist (and proposed amendments) including practical advice for filing claims. We will also discuss challenges with these credits including using the credits as collateral for financing. We will also touch on developments in the US (Inflation Reduction Act).
Our webinar will include a presentation by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and discussion from our panelists: Bryan Watson of CleanTech North and Martha Breithaupt of BDO Dunwoody LLP.
Taxpayers and their advisors may not be aware that these credits exist or know that their clients may qualify so there is tremendous value in attending.
